Transcription turns audio and video into text on iPhone, iPad and Mac. This MCP server lets AI assistants search your transcriptions, read them with timestamps or word-level timings, check your balance and start new transcriptions.

list_transcriptions: List the user's transcriptions, newest first: id, title, date, duration, language, status. Optional title filter.search_transcriptions: Full-text search inside all transcripts (and titles). A phrase matches when it contains the exact query or all of its words. Returns transcription id, title, timestamp of the match and a text snippet.get_transcript: Get the text of a transcription. format: "timestamps" (default) - one line per phrase with [mm:ss] and speaker; "text" - plain text without timestamps; "words" - JSON with per-word start/end times. Use from/to (seconds) to read a part of a long recording.get_balance: How much transcription time the user has left, the link to top it up in the app, and the balance history (purchases, bonuses, transcriptions), newest first.wait_for_transcription: Waits until a transcription started with start_transcription (or in the app) is ready, up to timeout_seconds, and returns as soon as it is: the transcript with timestamps when complete, otherwise the current status. Also use it after the user tops up their balance for a "waiting_for_balance" transcription.start_transcription: Transcribe an audio or video file available at a public http(s) URL (direct download link). Uses the user's remaining transcription time. Waits up to wait_seconds (45 by default; short recordings are usually done within a minute) and returns the transcript with timestamps in "transcript" when it is ready; otherwise returns the id and status, then call wait_for_transcription. It also appears in the Transcription app. Without enough time the status becomes "waiting_for_balance" with a top_up_url for the user, and the transcription starts automatically after the purchase.Transcribing uses your transcription time. If there isn't enough, the assistant gets a link that opens the purchase screen in the app; the file is kept and the transcription starts automatically right after the purchase.
Assistants see only the transcriptions of the account that authorized them. Access tokens are stored hashed. Files passed to start_transcription are downloaded only to transcribe them. Privacy policy · Terms
