Meeting transcription: turn every call into searchable notes

Updated

Taking notes during a meeting means half-listening. Record instead, transcribe afterwards, and you get a complete, searchable record plus a summary in less time than writing minutes by hand.

Record the meeting

Transcribe and review

Choose the meeting language and use online transcription for the best accuracy with several speakers. When it's done, skim the text, tap any sentence to hear it, and correct names. Search jumps to every mention of a project, client or deadline.

Turn the transcript into minutes

A good set of minutes has three parts: decisions, action items with owners, and open questions. You can write them from the transcript in five minutes, or let AI do it:

  1. Connect Transcription to Claude or ChatGPT (takes a minute).
  2. Ask: “Summarize today's product meeting: decisions, action items with owners, open questions. Quote timestamps.”
  3. The assistant reads the transcript directly, so nothing gets lost in copy-paste, and every point links back to the moment it was said.

FAQ

Do I need permission to record a meeting?

Usually yes. Laws differ by country and state, and many require consent from everyone on the call. Announce that you're recording at the start; it's also simply polite.

Does it join Zoom or Teams as a bot?

No. Transcription records audio on your device or transcribes a recording you already have, so there's no bot in the participant list.
